How to apply
 
The prospective student shall collect the application form and prospectus from the Institute on payment of Rs200/- (Rupees two hundred only). The same can also have through postal delivery by enclosing a self addressed envelope along with a DD(Demand Draft) drawn in favour of the Model Institute of Engineering Technology payable at Perumbavoor for Rs 250/-  (Rupees two fifty only) .The duly  filled up application form along with self attested copies of certificates of the qualifying examinations shall be submitted in the Institute on or before 30-5-2009 .The eligible candidates will be called for an interview at the office of the Institute on 1st June 2009.
A rank list will be prepared and published on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination (Plus two / Engineering Diploma) and in the interview. The Candidates shall bring their original certificates of SSLC, Plus two/ Diploma at the time of Interview. It is compulsory that the candidate shall be accompanied by the parent or guardian at the time of admission. Regular classes will be commenced on 15th June 2009.Separate application form has to be submitted for the admission section A as well as section B

Eligibility

+2 (with overall 45% marks and an aggregate of 45% marks for Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics put together)
                 OR
 3 year Diploma in Engineering

Duration

Section A

 4 semesters (2 years) for +2 holders

 2 semesters (1year) for Diploma holders

 Section B

3 semester (1 ½ years) for both Diploma & +2 holders
The candidates must have passed section A examination

 

Discipline
Discipline is absolutely essential in professional studies to attain the highest standards. Being the top notched engineering professionals of tomorrows, the students at the MIET are expected to be disciplined to every spheres of the academic curriculum as well as later on in professional life. They are bound to keep proper dress code .Talks on subjects out side the purview of the curriculum shall be avoided as much as possible. Improper and impertinent behavior at the institute may attract stringent disciplinary action as decided by the Principal.
We expect that our students to be punctual, enthusiastic  and hardworking from the very  beginning to the last, to bring accolades to the Institute as well as to themselves.
...........Rules & Regulations
  1.  Admission is made strictly to one course only. Separate application is mandatory for sections A and B.
  2. Discipline is a must thought out the course period.
  3. A student goes for holidays, is expected to take the usual path to his / her house. Deviation, if any, shall be informed to the principal in advance.
  4. Leave to the student will be allowed only on authorization.
  5. The entire tuition fee become payable at the time of admission .However installment facility will be provided to the deserving students as per their request.
  6. A student who joins the Institution in the middle of the year/session shall not be entitled for any concession in fees.
  7. It is compulsory for the student to write all model examinations conduct by MIET.

              The above rules and regulation are not exhaustive. The management of the Institute reserves the right to impose additional rules and regulations for the smooth functioning of the Institute.

DRESS CODE

Uniforms for students are compulsory. The uniform will be a combination of Sky Blue shirt and Blue Black Pants. Girl’s students are permitted to wear Blue Black churidar with Sky blue top and with Blue Black shawl.
